Will the metal pins be removed later?

It depends on the fixation method. Some are removed after a period and some are left in place; we will advise on the timing according to the material used and the site.

The size of the incision depends on the fracture pattern and the fixation method. Where possible we first consider techniques that open the skin as little as possible.
